About Us

When asked what CRAZYSTRONG means, I said my father, my inspiration, my role-model, and my best friend, David Spellman (Co-Founder). My father has dealt with many challenges life has thrown his way, especially from his autoimmune disease(s), and as his little buddy or “L.B.”, I have seen it all. When my father was only eight years old, he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, an intestinal condition where healthy bacteria attacks the lining of the small and large intestines. As a young man he persevered and did not allow this disease to deter him from living life to the fullest. To this day my father still suffers from Crohn’s disease, and since then has been diagnosed with Plaque Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis which have become bigger challenges for my father – but I have witnessed that he is stronger than every challenge thrown his way. When first diagnosed with Plaque Psoriasis, the doctors said it was one of the worst cases they have seen but just when we thought he couldn’t catch a break, then came along Psoriatic Arthritis. The biggest challenge of all. The constant pain and stiffness in his hips, hands, and feet. However, he is forever true to the principle of “never give up”. My father goes to work every day to provide for his family, maintains an active social life with family and friends, pushes himself to stay active on the ice hockey rink while still making time to relax with our dogs. I am proud to say that the “never give up” approach to life exhibited by my father has become the guiding principle of my life as well. When coming up with a dream clothing brand to represent my father, the name was a given – he is the strongest person I know, he is CRAZYSTRONG. The logo represents my father. His heart and his strength.
